Munster U18 Girls Trial on Saturday 6th May 2017 in Mount Mercy School, Cork, from 3pm – 6pm. Please bring €5 for pitch hire and plenty of water/snacks.

Munster U16 Boys Trial

The first training sessions for next seasons U16 boys take place next week.

Tuesday 18th, 7-9pm in Rosbrien for North Munster based players and Thursday 20th, 6-8.30pm in Garryduff for south Munster players.

Will all clubs please contact the manager, John Geary at john.geary@intel.com with player details (name, date of birth, parent/guardian contact details, preferred playing positions).

Players born in 2002 or younger are eligible.

Players need to bring €4 for pitch hire and a white shirt and dark shirt.

Introduction to Umpiring

Great (free) initiative here from the Munster Hockey Umpires Association. The MHUA is going to run an introduction to umpiring session on Saturday 22nd April in Garryduff.

The idea is to give people interested in umpiring some basics involved. We are not running it as a “course” as such. We will do a presentation with a slide show first, then look at a game in the Masters.

Limited to first 15 applicants (this is due to only available accommodation in Garryduff) Register no later than Thursday 20th April @ 6pm. Register by emailing chairman.umpires@munsterhockey.com

Final Munster Junior Men Trial

The final trial for the Men’s Munster Junior panel has been moved to next Monday the 10th of April at 6.20pm in the Mardyke. This is to accommodate players that are still completing games this weekend. €5 for pitch hire.

The final Munster Junior Womens’ Trial is this Sunday (2nd April) in Villiers School from 1pm to 3pm. Pitch hire costs is €5 per person.

Munster Hockey AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Munster Branch of Hockey Ireland will take place on Wednesday the 3rd. May 2017 at the Firgrove Hotel. Mitchelstown at 7.30 pm. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available between 7.00 and 7.30 pm.

Anyone wishing to submit a proposal and /or Nominations for positions on the Management Committee should do so in writing by 10.00pm on Wednesday 12th. April 2017. No proposals will be considered after this time and date.
