Junior Interpros Trials

The Junior Interprovincials are back this year after being absent from the calendar in 2012, and will be held in Dublin at Three Rock Rovers HC, Grange Road on April 27/28.
The intention this year is for the Munster men and women to trial and train together under the coaching and management team of John Meyler, Graham Catchpole, Tristan Murphy, Lorraine McGowan and Alan Good.
Trials for these teams will take place over the coming weeks, details below:
TRIAL 1 - LIMERICK
Saturday, March 23rd @ Catholic Institute, Rosbrien, Limerick
Men: 5pm-6.30pm
Women: 6.15pm-8pm
TRIAL 2 - CORK
Saturday, March 30th @ The Mardyke, UCC, Cork
Men: 2.30pm-4pm
Women: 3.30pm-5pm
Players are asked to attend the trial closest to them geographically; attendance at both trials is not required but anyone wishes to go to both may do so.
Certain eligibility criteria is in place for both teams; I have included the relevant passages at the bottom of this email, so please read carefully.

In addition, triallists are asked to bring â¬5 to cover pitch costs, as well as a spare white shirt.

JUNIOR INTERPROS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (taken from the IHA tournament competition rules and regulations)
3.4. Irish Junior Interprovincials (Men and Women)
*Former or current Senior or U21 International players are not eligible to play in the Junior Interprovincial tournament*Players under 18 years of age in the season of the competition are NOT eligible to play in the Junior Interprovincial tournament*Player eligibility is based on the level at which they are registered for and playing regularly in their domestic league competition in the current season, see Appendix 3 IHA Tournament Rules & Regulations*Players who are eligible may play for any Province where they meet the following qualification criteria:- Plays for a Club which is affiliated to the Province OR- Be resident in the Province OR- Have been born/ raised in the Province OR- Have a parent born /raised in the Province
APPENDIX 3 - JUNIOR INTERPROVINCIAL ELIGIBILITY
Player eligibility is based on the level each player is playing at in the current season within their domestic league. Any player who is eligible to play for a province but plays their club hockey in another province will be covered by the eligibility rules of their regular playing province.
*Note: Players playing for a club playing in the ISC by virtue of having won the Irish Trophy in the preceding season are eligible to play in the Junior Interprovincial tournament.
Men
Munster: All players excluding those who are registered or have played in the Irish Senior Cup or IHL in the current season are eligible.
Women
Leinster, Ulster, Munster: No player currently registered as a Division 1 player in their provincial leagues or registered for or played in the Irish Senior Cup or IHL in the current season are eligible.
