Weekend Preview 30/11/19
In EY IHL 1 Harlequins and Catholic Institute are on the road this weekend with both hoping to take 3 points home from Dublin. Quins face a Muckross side that have been buoyed by the arrival of a number of players over the Summer. Quins have made a solid start to the year and will again be looking to their young guns to step up to the top level. Insta, still without Roisin Upton, have been faring well in their first season in IHL. They will fancy their chances of taking something away from Railway Union with both sides sitting mid-table.
On the mens side C of I host Avoca in Garryduff. They could welcome John Jermyn back from injury this weekend adding further to their firepower. Dennis Pritchard now has a panel at his disposal, something that was lacking last season. Quins are taking the transition to EY IHL 2 in their stride. The Dale brothers are providing the firepower up front this season with 17 goals between them already this season.
In the women’s Munster Senior Cup Belvedere upset the form book on Thursday dispatching of Ashton 1-0. On Saturday in form UCC travel to Limerick and will be overwhelming favourites to advance.
